Maleia Reviews Kalon Surf
“I MAY HAVE BEEN A BEGINNER ON THE FIRST DAY BUT BY THE LAST DAY I FELT LIKE A PRO.”
When my husband asked me if I wanted to go on a surf trip I was a little hesitant. We had been on 4 surf trips before but most of time with in 15-20 minutes I would be sitting on the beach watching him surf b/c I was too nervous and inexperienced to enjoy myself in the waves and in turn this would ruin his surfing fun b/c he would be worried about me all the time. So this time we agreed to try a surf school. I did some research and found Kalon Surf.
After reading the reviews of past travelers we decide to give Kalon a try and I am so glad we did. Kalon met every expectation we had and more. The food was 5 stars, bravo to the cooks. The staff was incredibly nice and always willing to help you with whatever you needed. The view and property…all I can say is WOW! All these things really made our stay amazing and that much more enjoyable. But honestly it’s not the reason we went. I wanted to learn how to surf and my husband wanted to improve on the skills he already had. That is exactly what happened. Our surf coaches Roberto, Henry, and Diego are amazing. The best part is that my husband was able to really enjoy his time in the water catching waves b/c Roberto was by my side the entire time coaching me. If I needed help Roberto was there no

The best part is that my husband was able to really enjoy his time in the water catching waves b/c Roberto was by my side the entire time coaching me. If I needed help Roberto was there no matter what. I learned so much from him and the other coaches. I may have been a beginner on the first day but by the last day I felt like a pro. Yep – I was actually surfing! I was able to paddle out with my husband and catch wave after wave after wave.
Now I am obsessed with surfing. It’s all I want to do! I get up every day and check the surf report (unfortunately there hasn’t been much wave action at home so I have had to ride my carver skateboard instead) but I plan on heading out this weekend as there is a prediction of some 3-4 waves heading my way. I can’t wait to practice what I have learned. I must also say thank you to Charlie. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He made sure we had a great time and we will forever cherish the time we got to spend with him. By the last day, we felt like we had friends for life and can not wait to go back!!! Thank you so much Kalon Surf for making this one of the most memorable vacations ever xoxo
You deserve the experience of paradise that Kalon has to offer.
