The Luxury Surf Experience
Seven nights of surfing, relaxation, and gourmet dining — for all surfer levels
7 Nights · All-Inclusive
Surfing. Relaxing. Eating fresh, gourmet-prepared food. That's what a week at Kalon Surf is all about. From Saturday to Saturday, you'll immerse yourself in the Costa Rica surf lifestyle — at your own pace, no matter your skill level.
Unwind in your own boutique surf resort perched above the Pacific, soak in every sunset, and share long dinners with fellow guests who quickly become friends. With a maximum of 20 guests per week and ten rooms, the all inclusive week is intimate, personal, and completely taken care of.
Whether you're learning to surf for the first time or refining your technique, your lifeguard-trained surf coaches will meet you where you are — in small groups of three guests per coach — with video analysis before each session, in-water guidance, and the best uncrowded beaches on Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast.
Surf Coaching
Three guests per coach, hours in the water each day on long, uncrowded beaches. Your coaches pick the right break for your level and the day's conditions — from gentle whitewater to open green waves.
Yoga & Massage
Entry-level yoga classes three times per week, designed so everyone can join — stretching and recovery tailored to surfing. Plus a one-hour relaxing massage mid-week with the onsite massage therapist.
Gourmet Dining
Three-course dinners served family-style with wine, beach lunches, homemade snacks, and breakfasts overlooking the Pacific. Locally inspired, internationally loved.
You'll surf five days, rest one, and travel on Saturdays.
Every day follows the tides — so no two weeks are the same.
What to Expect From Your All Inclusive Surf Week at Kalon
Your Costa Rica all-inclusive surfing experience at Kalon follows the tides — so no two days look exactly the same, and you're always in the water at the best time. Mornings typically start with coffee on the terrace and a breakfast worth lingering over, before a pool technique session, pilates and yoga, or video analysis to loosen up and focus. Then you head to the beach with your coaches for hours of surf coaching on uncrowded waves, with just three guests per coach.
Lunch might be served right on the beach between sessions or back at the resort — it depends on the day. Either way, our chefs prepare it fresh, and you don't think about it. Afternoons are yours. Some guests book a waterfall hike, ziplining, or horseback ride. Others sit by the pool with a book or disappear into their room for a nap. There's no wrong answer — and that's the point. Everything at Kalon is designed so you feel comfortable, unhurried, and genuinely looked after.
Evenings are the part people talk about most. Three-course dinners at one long table, good wine, and the kind of conversation that happens when everyone's had a full day of surf and sun. Couples, solo travelers, small groups — everyone finds their place. On Fridays, the week wraps up around the fire pit with drinks and stories. Our luxury surf camp is social without being forced, and quiet when you need it to be.
About 60% of our guests have never surfed before — and they're catching waves by day two. The rest are intermediate and advanced surfers who come for the consistent conditions and the kind of personalized coaching they can't get at home. Whether you're working on your first pop-up or refining your bottom turn, our coaches adapt to where you actually are — with video analysis and structured progression that helps you keep improving long after your surf vacation ends. If you're wondering whether all-inclusive in costa rica is worth it, this is what we built Kalon for.
Costa Rica has fantastic year-round surfing conditions, so there's no wrong time to come. We recommend travel insurance for peace of mind — but the only thing you really need to bring is yourself.
Your Typical Day
A fresh breakfast prepared by the chefs, overlooking the Pacific — with Costa Rican coffee to start your day.
Depending on the day: a pool technique session to sharpen your paddle and pop-up, entry-level yoga stretching for surfing, or video analysis of your previous session with your coach — so you head to the beach with a clear focus.
Head to the beach with your coaches. They'll pick the best break for the day's conditions and your level. You'll surf for hours on uncrowded waves, with a freshly prepared lunch served right on the beach, surrounded by palm trees.
A three-course gourmet dinner served each evening at the long wooden table. Stories are shared, friendships form, and a glass of wine is there if you'd like.
Your day off from surfing. Enjoy your included massage, relax by the pool, book an optional tour, or simply unwind.

Your Week at a Glance
The rhythm of the ocean. Every week at Kalon follows the tides. The daily schedule shifts each day so you're always in the water at the best time. Mornings start with breakfast overlooking the Pacific, followed by yoga, pool technique sessions, or video analysis before heading to the beach. Evenings wind down with a three-course dinner served family-style with your fellow guests and a glass of wine.
Year-round surf conditions. Costa Rica offers waves in every season, but each brings something different. Dry season (November–April) delivers consistent northwest swells and blue skies, while the green season (May–October) brings warmer south swells and Costa Rica's famous "veranito" — a mid-year stretch of sunnier weather. There's no bad seasons to visit for surfing.
Solo-friendly by nature. Around 60% of guests arrive solo, and it's one of the things that makes Kalon special. With a maximum of 20 guests per week and long, shared dinners each evening, you'll connect naturally — no forced group activities, just great company in a relaxed setting. Most solo travellers tell us the people they met were the highlight of their trip.
